| My Grandfather James Hugh Helm was Chief Fire Officer for the Isle of Ely and was based at Wisbech from 1948. I would love to know more about his time with the fire service. I have a few photo's of him. I know that he did work with Vivien quite a bit and know of someone who decided to paint Vivien Silver. Great site by the way. Marie-Christine. |

| Hi there. My great Grandfather was Horace Friend. I know very little about him or Billy Friend and would really appreciate any stories or especially pictures to do with either of them and the fire service.
