I enjoyed meeting Vivien and George (I believe?) at the Whittlesey Festival on Sunday 10.9.2017. I lived in Wisbech for ten years from 1951 so have probably seen Vivien in active service. Best wishes for a successful Lottery application!

My great grandfather (harry Ridgeway SMITH was a fireman during this time and his father Diverus (known as Diver) SMITH was also a fireman. At Diver's funeral July 1933 Vivien was used to carry his coffin to Wisbech Borough cemetery.

My Grandfather James Hugh Helm was Chief Fire Officer for the Isle of Ely and was based at Wisbech from 1948. I would love to know more about his time with the fire service. I have a few photo's of him. I know that he did work with Vivien quite a bit and know of someone who decided to paint Vivien Silver. Great site by the way. Marie-Christine.
